Determination

OMG where is this year going!!!  I’ll tell you where – right into 2017 😛

This morning my day started literally on a HIGH and I planned to blog about motivation, fashion, letting go of one’s ego, energy being recycled, my goals for November, this list goes on.

As luck would have it, I went to work, I worked late and have nothing to give at 10:52 PM
(Yes, I know I should be sleeping… LOL)

This has been my writing journey, great intentions, ideas, energy and lost momentum by end of the day.  But not this November!!! This November is National Novel Writing Month and in the spirit of creative writing, I will write something ANYTHING once a day.

That being said, my first tidbit of sharing:

A few weeks ago, I was sitting with a colleague and sharing my most recent travels this year when he interrupted me and mentioned how impressed he was.  He actually recalled three years ago when I started with the company, that I mentioned I had not been many places and only actually flew anywhere a couple of times in my lifetime (31 young years).

At that moment it hit me, we really do get what we want if we are persistent enough.  I didn’t have a plan three years ago, all I knew is that I wanted to see more and experience more.  Which when you I look back at 2016 alone I’ve visited San Diego, Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta, Vermont, Boston, Montreal, Val-David, Santa Barbara, and LA.

So, if I can make it to all of these places within months – I’m determined to write a few words regularly for the next 30 days.

Wish me luck!

You are an inspiration. I wish I had even a fourth of your go get ’em attitude. I always make plans and let them float away or talk myself out of it. Unfortunately, that is what I have become. I love seeing your pictures and travels. I enjoy reading your blogs, also. I am going to try and set monthly goals and see if I can reach them. If that works out I will try setting bigger goals or achievements and see where I go. Thank you, Keisha for the inspiration. (My mom says to say Hi to your Mom and family.). Thank you. I look forward to your next blog.

Hi Amanda, such kind words from you!! I work very hard to maintain my energy of getting what I want and it’s not always easy. There are good days and bad, upsets, and sometimes I get very disappointed and want to throw in the towel. However, with the right mindset you can push through and this took several years to build. Some people can roll out of bed and just keep motivated, some people need tools – I need tools, mediation, occasionally a pizza, the gym and so much more. So keep on working on your sweet sauce and you will figure out your magic. Pick something for November, or even next week and start there.

Have all of these travels been for work? This is amazing! I’m actually sitting at an airport bar reading your blog posts at the moment.
