In 2026 I took on journaling in the form of prompts from the book, A Year of Zen: A 52-Week Guided Journal, by author Bonnie Myotai Treace’s. The journal purchased on my birthday, January 29 it made the most sense to start writing on this date.

Leaving a teacher
It’s January 29th and my first entry into the journal. With another year going by, it’s not hard to manage the feels of when you leave either a teacher or beloved behind. I spent my birthday with a new friend, that surprisingly felt as though she had been friends with me for quite some time.
